Michael hails from the New England area where his interest in drums and percussion began. As a youth, He enrolled in The South Shore Conservatory of Music, where he was exposed to many different styles of music and drumming by then drum Instructor Edward Soreintino. After his time at SSC, he began to seek out and study with many New England drum masters that make this area so rich in drumming culture. Topping the list were Bob Gullotti, Gary Chaffee, Gene Roma, Dick DiCenzo and Alan Dawson. After a semester at Berklee College, Michael headed west to enroll in the Percussion Institute Of Technology where he studied with Steve Houghton, David Garibaldi, Ralph Humphreys, Joe Porcaro, and Casey Scheurelle. It was then off on the road with an impressive resume of live performances and recordings. The extensive list includes the 70's hit band Tavares, rock and roll legends Little Richard and the Platters, Bassists Jeff Berlin, Barron Brown, Tim Archibald and Tim Bogert. Guitarists include Scott Tarulli, Steve Oliver, Bruce Bartlett, and Jimmy Herring. Recording Artists Lourdes Pita, Sue Robertson, Dawna Hammers, Kerri Powers, Dean Adrian, Jeff Gannon, Birdie, Lee Michelle, Faith Soloway, The Rockin' Soul Horns, Soul City, The Shakers, Costa and Princess Cruise Lines, the Discover Channel Boston Symphony House Band, and currently a member of Boston's premiere corporate function group, the One Step Ahead Band!

Michael has also been a part of the summer program at the Berklee College of Music from 2002 to 2006 and is playing dates with The Scott Tarulli Group in support of Scott's new live CD that Michael has recorded as of late.

Michael has just completed a new CD entitled Timed Out that you can hear live clips from (DVD recording and studio cuts) on the audio and video links.
